IMPORTANT NOTICE

Recently, the Embassy had to deal with very unfortunate situations where some Moroccan citizens in the US have been held in detention centers for failing to comply with the US Immigration terms and procedures.

While the Embassy spared no effort to assist them in their ordeal, it cannot but admit that the responsibility rests with these citizens who, unwillingly and inadvertently, broke the law.

In order to avoid such situations in the future, the Embassy earnestly requests all Moroccan citizens visiting the US (tourists, students or workers) as well as those permanently residents to fully comply with the American immigration regulations and:

Read carefully the immigration documents received at the US consulate in the country where the visa was issued

Visit the US Citizenship & Immigration Services portal

Do not hesitate to contact the Consular Section in Washington, DC and the General Consulate in New York for further information.
