Carte Nationale d’Identité Electronique (CNIE)

New CNIE
If you just turned 16 years old & you NEVER had a CNIE, your presence at the EMBASSY OF MOROCCO IN WASHINGTON DC ( Address: 1211 CONNECTICUT AVE, N.W STE 312, WASHINGTON DC, 20036 ) is MANDATORY in order to be fingerprinted. You have to bring the following documents:

Copy of the Consular Card (If you do not have one you need to register, please refer to Consular registration here..)
Four (4) CNIE pictures, 45mm x 35mm
School or work certificate
Fees: A money order of $15 payable to the EMBASSY OF MOROCCO IN WASHINGTON DC.
A Birth Certificate or a certified copy of the "Livret d’Identité d’Etat Civil"
Certified copy of Citizenship Certificate, in case of acquisition of Moroccan Nationality
AND Fingerprints

From the CIN to the CNIE
All CIN holders should contact consular services to replace their CIN by the new CNIE. The following documents are required:

Copy of your Consular Card (If you do not have one you need to register, please refer to Consular registration)
Two (2) CNIE pictures 45mm x 35mm
Fees: A money order of $15 payable to the EMBASSY OF MOROCCO IN WASHINGTON DC
A Birth Certificate or a Copy of the "Livret d’Identité d’Etat Civil"
Certified copy of Citizenship Certificate, in case of acquisition of Moroccan Nationality.
And FINGERPRINTS

To add 'Epouse de' (Optional)

Your CIN or your CNIE
Copy of the Consular Card (If you do not have one you need to register, please refer to Consular registration).
Two (2) CNIE pictures 45mm x 35mm.
Fees: A money order of $15 payable to the EMBASSY OF MOROCCO IN WASHINGTON DC.
A Birth Certificate or a Copy of the "Livret d’Identité d’Etat Civil".
Certified copy of Marriage Certificate.
Spouse birth certificate.
AND FINGERPRINTS

To add 'Widow' or 'Widower' (Optional)

Your CIN or your CNIE
Copy of the Consular Card (If you do not have one you need to register, please refer to Consular registration).
Two (2) CNIE pictures 45mm x 35mm.
Fees: A money order of $15 payable to the EMBASSY OF MOROCCO IN WASHINGTON DC.
A Birth Certificate or a Copy of the "Livret d’Identité d’Etat Civil".
Copy of spouse or wife’s death certificate.

Renewal
If your Electronic National Identity Card (Carte Nationale d’Identité Electronique ) has expired, you should renew it by presenting the following documents to the EMBASSY OF MOROCCO IN WASHINGTON DC (Address: 1211 CONNECTICUT AVE, N.W STE 312, WASHINGTON DC, 20036)

The expired CNIE
Copy of the Consular Card (If you do not have one you need to register, please refer to Consular registration).
Two (2) CNIE pictures 45mm x 35mm.
Fees: A money order of $15 payable to the EMBASSY OF MOROCCO IN WASHINGTON DC.

Lost, stolen or Damaged CIN or CNIE
If your card is lost, stolen or damaged, your presence at the EMBASSY OF MOROCCO IN WASHINGTON DC (Address: 1211 CONNECTICUT AVE, N.W STE 312, WASHINGTON DC, 20036) is MANDATORY in order to be fingerprinted for a duplicate. You have to bring the following documents:

Copy of the Consular Card (If you do not have one you need to register, please refer to Consular registration).
"Déclaration sur l’Honneur".
Two (2) CNIE pictures 45mm x 35mm.
Fees: A money order of $15 payable to the EMBASSY OF MOROCCO IN WASHINGTON DC.
A Birth Certificate or a Copy of the "Livret d’Identité d’Etat Civil".
AND FINGERPRINTS

First name, Last Name, DOB, Place of Birth, 'Etat Civil Number' or Parents Names Change
If you want to change your First name, Last Name, DOB, Place of Birth, “Etat Civil Number” or Parents Names, your presence at the EMBASSY OF MOROCCO IN WASHINGTON DC (Address: 1211 CONNECTICUT AVE, N.W STE 312, WASHINGTON DC, 20036) is MANDATORY in order to be fingerprinted. You have to bring the following documents:

Your CIN or your CNIE
Copy of the Consular Card (If you do not have one you need to register, please refer to Consular registration).
Two (2) CNIE pictures 45mm x 35mm.
Fees: A money order of $15 payable to the EMBASSY OF MOROCCO IN WASHINGTON DC.
A Birth Certificate or a Copy of the "Livret d’Identité d’Etat Civil".
Certified Copy of Judgement for the change above.

Fiche Anthropometrique / Police Criminal Record Certificate
You can send a request for Moroccan Criminal Record Certificate (Fiche Anthropometrique) by mailing the following documents to the EMBASSY OF MOROCCO IN WASHINGTON DC (Address: 1211 CONNECTICUT AVE, N.W STE 312, WASHINGTON DC, 20036):

Copy of your CIN CNIE
Copy of the Consular Card (If you do not have one you need to register, please refer to Consular registration).
A money order of $10 payable to the EMBASSY OF MOROCCO IN WASHINGTON DC.

N.B: Please note that the "Carte Nationale d’Identité Electronique" is issued or renewed in Rabat & it takes 6 to 8 weeks to be returned to the Embassy. Please call the Embassy at (202) 457-0012 Ext: 16, after 8 weeks of application’s deposit.
